Weight is basically the gravitational force that the earth is exerting on a body. Normal reaction, on the other hand, is the force that the surface on which a body is kept exerts. And we know that action-reaction pair is formed by the forces which act on different bodies, whereas weight and normal reaction both act on the same body.
